Today Teresa Klokkenga Photography celebrates 8 years in business!!
This is no small feat, statistics show that most small business quit after 5 years. Countless times during the first 2 years I cried and considered quitting, but my husband continued to cheer me on.
Being a business owner is hard, but equally rewarding!
I am incredibly grateful for all the people who have entrusted me to create memories for them over the years, and am glad to keep living the dream I had 11 years ago!
Additionally, I’m grateful for my husband who encouraged me in the beginning to start this journey and continues to support me in each new idea (which often come to me too early in the morning for his liking), my photography friends who have paved the paths before me and always answer questions that come up, and my bestest photog friend who I have now dubbed my Board of Directors of TKP because she’s my constant sounding board of ideas, Jen!

Teresa Klokkenga Photography started in 2013 as Love the Light Photography
TKP started in Glen Carbon, IL and moved to Bloomington, IL in 2019.
I have owned 5 different models of camera, all Nikon: D3000, D90, D600, (2) D750, Z6ii
I currently have 8 different camera lenses and 5 different lights.
I have photographed 687 families, newborns, seniors, weddings, businesses and events.
