Rain on your Senior Photo Day

Can you believe how fast time flies? We’re already gearing up for another school year, but before we dive into fall, I wanted to share a special session with Elly Thistlewaite, a senior from Cornerstone Christian School in Bloomington, Illinois.

Elly’s session was originally scheduled on a windy and rainy day. I’m always keeping an eye on the weather because, as you know, these senior photos are a once-in-a-lifetime experience. If it’s rainy or too windy on your session day, no worries—we reschedule. I build extra time into my schedule for this very reason. Your photos are important to me, and I want you jumping up and down with excitement, ready to share them with friends and family.

For Elly, we didn’t have the luxury of waiting. She needed her photos for graduation invites, so we decided to skip our usual planning phone call and met in person at the Teresa Klokkenga Photography studio. This quick meeting allowed Elly to ask any questions she had beforehand and helped reduce any nervousness for her big photo day. Plus, it gave us the chance to capture a few shots in a casual look for her grad card.

Despite the weather challenges, our in-person meeting was a hit! We were able to create the perfect photo for Elly’s graduation announcements, which they loved. Meeting ahead of time was a great way to ensure Elly was comfortable and excited for her full senior session.

So rest assured, if it rains on your session day we’ll reschedule at no additional cost…’cause that’s silly, you can’t control the weather! When you’re ready to book your senior session, let’s chat!

I can’t wait to SHINE A LIGHT on you and create an experience that leaves you saying, “Oh my gosh, I love these so much!” and hitting that “share” button with a giant smile on your face.
