In May, Bonnie and Mike celebrated 50 Years of Marriage! To celebrate their children all spent the weekend at their home in Ellsworth and it made the perfect opportunity to create some stunning new family photos to showcase all the generations.
We photographed their session at the Hammons Home in Ellsworth, Illinois. Bonnie and Mike have a beautifully landscaped yard with blooming perennials and little treasures throughout. One of the more recent additions is a fairy garden they created after losing a large tree in the recent winter ice and wind storms. It’s a little magical place that their grandchildren enjoy exploring, along with the other children in town.
When I saw the fairy garden I envisioned making the final image into a whimsical fairyland scene. Bonnie loved the idea and so I put my creative muscle to work! Here is the completed image:
