As with every year, I was so excited for your Mom and Me Session this year! As a mom we are often on the other side of the camera, and our love and presence needs to be documented and cherished too!
This year moms and their children donated of new item to St Jude Children's Hospital in Peoria, which “focus on providing exceptional care to patients with pediatric cancer and other catastrophic diseases.” These gifts will help children cope with the anxiety and fear that often accompany the hospital experience during their long days of treatment.
The Mom and Me Sessions were extra special this year, as we did these in remembrance of a local girl, Emma Welp, who passed away last year from DIPG brain cancer. Emma was a super sweet girl who was so full of laughter and joy, and I had the pleasure of getting to know through the couple of sessions we had together with her twin sister Abby.
