Bates Senior Session

Jeff Bates ~ Metamora Township High School {Class of 2021}

One thing is for sure, we are glad to have Illinois sports back in action for the Class of 2021 Senior year!

For Jeff’s session we met up in Downtown Peoria to get an urban vibe look for his pictures. It’s easy to do in the Peoria Riverfront area with the architecture of the buildings and back alley ways of the businesses in the area. He had 2 signature looks for his session, both relaxed and fitting to his personality. Jeff has a genuine kindness to him, outgoing personality which just exudes in his senior pictures. He was up for any idea I suggested.

When we finished the Downtown Peoria portion, we planned to head over to the neighboring town of Morton Illinois to photograph portraits in his soccer uniform. When we arrived at their outdoor soccer complex, we learned that thanks in part to 2020 the nets had all been stored away. Ultimately we decided to travel to Metamora Township High School for this segment. In my opinion this was perfect, the sun had started to set and I knew we’d get some awesome backlit golden images to commemorate his Senior Year. Unlucky for Jeff, the temp had dropped by this point, but he powered through!
