Rachael has a genuine soul, and a love for all things historical. I enjoyed out time together discussing the interesting facts about the old Soldiers and Sailors building located in Normal, Illinois. The Soldiers and Sailors Home was an Orphan Home built in 1865 that housed the children of Veterans from the Civil War.
While we were walking around the grounds of the old buildings I noticed a cement plant across the street and was drawn to the lines and shapes from the cement blocks at the entrance. That’s the beauty of the creative mind, to see something that others don’t. It may have seen crazy at the time, but these blocks provide such interest in Rachael’s photo. Never be afraid to push yourself and experiment with an idea!
Rachael finished her session at the studio located in Downs using a simple black backdrop. I love the addition of classic studio portraiture…a perfect timeless addition to Rachael’s gallery.
Below is the Senior Portrait Folio we designed to match one created for her older brother; eight 4x6 mounted prints in a 10x11 Folio. (Not pictured were the additional prints ordered for their family.)
