Maybe you can relate? On my discovery call with Missy she mentioned her current media kit images included photos that were taken when she first started out. She had someone who took good pictures, but not necessarily specialized in professional headshots, take her photos.
One thing that she specifically mentioned was that she had her photos taken with her glasses off because they had glares in them they couldn’t correct. I do see this from time to time during a headshot session where a client will want to “just take them off”. My advice, if you clients are used to seeing you with your glasses on, then that is how we should photograph your professional headshots! The right photographer will know how to photograph you with your glasses on and get no glare! And in the case of transition lenses, I recommend once your arrive to the studio to remove the lenses for your photoshoot and pop them back once we’ve finished.
If you’ve been in business for over a year and are still using your headshot that someone “snapped real quick for you”…consider it time to take the big step and get a professional image of yourself. You’ll radiate confidence each time you hand someone your business card with that polished and professional image.
